Time in Range and Continuous Glucose Monitoring

CGM metrics that go beyond A1C.

· 2 min read

Time in range

Time in range is the share of readings between 70 and 180 mg/dL. International consensus targets more than 70 percent for most adults with diabetes.

Other metrics

Time below range should be under 4 percent. The glucose management indicator turns mean glucose into an A1C-like value.

Using CGM

Review patterns with your care team, looking at meals, exercise and overnight trends rather than single readings.
